Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent behavior by neglecting her responsibilities to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors, who put in nearly $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 to enhance mental fitness, claim in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media boasting over 500 million followers, was supposed to be actively engaged in the company’s development as the head of marketing. However, they argue that Gomez and other executives failed to fulfill their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.
According to the legal complaint, Gomez supposedly agreed to contractual obligations but failed to follow through. The plaintiffs assert that the company did not have a viable business plan and fell short on essential responsibilities like paying employees and vendors on time. A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the lawsuit.
The lawsuit contends that the investors were unaware of the company’s issues until a news article surfaced in September 2025, revealing the difficulties. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal costs incurred.
