BBC personality John Hunt has accused Kyle Clifford’s family of being aware of the weapons used in the tragic crossbow murders. The former Dragoon Guards trooper, Clifford, 26, influenced by violent misogyny advocated by Andrew Tate, brutally killed his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, her sister Hannah, and their mother Carol. Clifford was convicted of raping Louise, confessing to murdering her and her sister with a crossbow, and fatally stabbing her mother.
During the court proceedings leading up to Clifford’s sentencing, John Hunt emotionally addressed both Clifford and his family, labeling the killer as “callous, cowardly, and vindictive.” Hunt expressed his desire to deliver his victim impact statement directly to Kyle, emphasizing the family’s knowledge of the weapons involved, which will haunt them indefinitely.
John Hunt praised his daughters for their wise decisions in contrast to Clifford, highlighting Louise’s maturity during their breakup and her accomplishments that overshadowed Clifford’s existence. He ominously predicted a grim fate for Clifford, stating that “the screams of hell” awaited him.
Clifford, who did not appear in court that day, remained confined to the medical wing of HMP Belmarsh due to his paralysis from a self-inflicted crossbow injury. His trial for rape, held at Cambridge Crown Court, detailed the horrific events at the family home in Bushey, Herts, where Clifford bound and gagged Louise. He faces the possibility of a whole life tariff for his heinous crimes.
