GTA 6 Faces Another Delay with Rockstar Games Offering Apology and Disappointed Fans
Rockstar Games has announced another delay for the highly anticipated GTA 6, apologizing to the eager fans awaiting its release. The developer expressed regret for extending the wait but emphasized that the additional time will ensure the game meets the expected standards of polish and quality.
Although a specific release date was provided, stating that Grand Theft Auto VI will now launch on Thursday, November 19, 2026, Rockstar Games expressed gratitude for the fans’ patience and support. The company also teased the excitement of players experiencing the vast world of Leonida and the return to modern-day Vice City.
The news of the delay sparked mixed reactions among fans on social media. While some expressed frustration and disappointment with the ongoing delays, others showed understanding and support for the developer’s commitment to delivering a polished game.
Originally slated for an autumn 2025 release, the game’s launch was postponed to May 26 the following year before the recent delay announcement. Rockstar Games had previously apologized for the delay in May, citing the need for additional time to meet the high-quality standards expected by fans.
GTA 6 development was reported to be progressing well in early 2022, with speculations in 2023 hinting at potential changes to meet a 2024 launch deadline. Despite hopes raised by an earnings report suggesting a release in FY2025, the game’s launch has been continuously pushed back.
With over a decade since the launch of GTA 5, which remains one of the best-selling games with over 215 million copies sold, fans eagerly await the release of the next installment in the franchise.
