Perez Hilton’s family has revealed that his children, niece, and sister were present at his residence shortly before the celebrity blogger went live on TikTok, seemingly engaging in self-harm behavior.

In a recent update shared on Hilton’s official website, the family is urging for privacy and consideration. The statement emphasizes the immense distress the family has endured in the past few days.

“For the safety, privacy, and well-being of the children, we kindly request the media, paparazzi, content creators, and the general public to vacate the vicinity around the family’s residence and refrain from returning,” the message states.

Hilton, a single parent to three children – a 13-year-old son, an 11-year-old daughter, and an 8-year-old daughter – found himself in a severe mental health crisis, prompting the immediate removal of the children to shield them from further distressing events.

“Our primary focus now is aiding the children in their healing process after the traumatic experience. An essential step in this healing journey is ensuring their safe return home to start rebuilding their sense of security and normalcy,” the family statement continues.

Hospitalization of Hilton on Tuesday Evening

The well-known blogger is currently hospitalized after reports surfaced that he was observed engaging in self-harm during a live TikTok broadcast on Tuesday evening.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, “the individual has been safely located and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a nearby hospital for medical attention.”

Law enforcement authorities were dispatched to his Miami residence on Tuesday night following numerous calls from concerned followers regarding an individual “live-streaming self-harm actions on social media.”

Upon arrival, deputies confirmed with family members that Hilton was alone during the live stream. Subsequent to the incident, authorities have decided to step back tactically and are closely monitoring the situation, while extending support to the family.

    Banning of Hilton’s Account

“In scenarios involving individuals undergoing a mental health crisis or engaging in self-harm, deputies prioritize de-escalation by setting up time, distance, and communication opportunities,” stated a spokesperson via email to CBC News.

“Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing down the situation and utilizing crisis intervention techniques can decrease the chances of a confrontation leading to self-harm and reduce the risks of harm to the individual, deputies, and the public.”
