“Dollyfest Tribute to Honor Legacy of Queen of Country”

Dust off your most dazzling attire and iconic blonde wig because Dollyfest is on the horizon for 2027, sans its legendary headliner. The music festival, initially intended to coincide with Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday and showcase her as the main act alongside a lineup of other artists, was delayed last September due to health concerns.

However, Parton’s estate has revealed that the “star-studded” music extravaganza will still take place in Nashville and London over two consecutive weekends next year. The festival will now serve as a tribute to the life and legacy of the “Queen of Country,” who passed away last week at the age of 80, leaving behind a multitude of grieving admirers.

Renamed Dollyfest, the event aims to deliver the unforgettable celebration that Parton had envisioned sharing with the world. While details about the festival remain scarce, including specific dates and the lineup of performers, organizer Danny Nozell has assured that the essence of what Parton started will be faithfully upheld.

In addition to Dollyfest, various tributes honoring Parton have emerged following her passing. Dollywood, the theme park she transformed into a major attraction, has announced plans to introduce several new features in her memory. Guests will soon have the opportunity to record their reflections on Parton’s influence in special kiosks within the park, with some testimonials potentially incorporated into exhibitions.

Moreover, changes requested by Parton before her demise, such as a new waterfall and a park character inspired by her Imagination Library, are set to be implemented. The park also plans to maintain a memorial wall adorned with flowers and tributes outside its entrance, allowing visitors ample time to pay their respects in a meaningful manner.

Meanwhile, Sevierville, Tennessee, Parton’s hometown, is launching a project titled “In Dolly’s Footsteps” in collaboration with Dollywood. The initiative will feature walking-tour markers at significant locations in Parton’s life story, like The Pines Theatre where she first performed at the age of 10.

As the world continues to mourn the loss of a music icon, these initiatives stand as testaments to the enduring legacy of Dolly Parton.
